1. What inspired you to go to your first rowing practice; was there anything memorable about it?
Nothing memorable. It was during a summer camp that I had the opportunity to try this wonderful sport.
2. Was there a practice, race or other event when you fell in love with the sport, or when you knew you might not be too bad at rowing? When you thought you could make the national team?
During my first erg test, I was in the novice heat. After the first 1k, no one was cheering on me or even watching me. One coach checked my screen and saw a very good split. So everyone cheered on me on the last 1K and congratulated me at the end but I didn't realize that it was a good erg test after only 2 months of rowing.
3. Best race/practice, worst race/practice?
Best practice => A practice at the Potomac boat club in quad with Lenny Futterman, Sam Stitt and Esther Lofgren
Best race =>Olympic qualification final in 2019
Worst race => Olympic qualification semi final in 2015 one guy changed lane and almost touch me during the race and I finished 4th of the semi final.
4. Best/Anything you've done in the sport no one knows about?
Be the first rower from Benin to qualify in the Olympics and bring some diversity to the international events :) .
5. Any/Most important advice for young rowers?
Never give up and have a lot of determination.
